DESCRIPTION:re:Naissance presents Inferno\, a hip-hop opera by Omari Newton and Amy Lee Lavoie\, in an exclusive concert performance of its music and script. Blending hip-hop\, rap\, beat boxing\, sampling\, R&B\, and contemporary opera in celebration of IBPOC voices. The story reimagines Dante’s Inferno as a feminist\, anti-establishment\, and anti-colonial allegory. Hell is reimagined as a Spotify-esque headquarters in Vancouver\, BC\, with protagonists Vie (a music producer) and Mo (an artist turned janitor) who meet in the bathroom after Vie learns that their song has been stolen by The Company. \nGet 15% off with Early Bird Tickets until Oct 22. \nTwo Performances:\nFriday\, Nov 28 | 7:30PM\nSaturday\, Nov 29 | 7:30PM \nDoors open at 7:00PM. \n— \nGetting There: \nDigiBC Creative Tech Studio accessible by public transportation.
